AMBASSADOR G. UYANGA MEETS WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF THE SINGAPORE COOPERATION ENTERPRISE

On 21 September 2026, Her Excellency Ms Ganbold Uyanga, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Singapore, met with Mr Kong Wy Mun, Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE), and Mr Lim Chee Kian, Deputy Director for Northeast Asia.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation between Mongolia and Singapore and discussed potential joint initiatives between relevant organisations.

The discussions covered opportunities for cooperation in social protection and savings systems, sovereign wealth fund management, digital governance, cybersecurity, carbon markets, renewable energy, data centres, fuel supply, and rare and rare earth elements.

SCE expressed its readiness to explore conducting a cybersecurity assessment of Mongolia’s digital systems and providing professional advisory services. It also indicated the possibility of organising training and capacity-building programmes for public- and private-sector representatives in the field of carbon credit mechanisms.

The two sides agreed to continue exploring opportunities to arrange meetings between relevant officials during the upcoming visit and to support the development of concrete projects and business partnerships.
